I've learned that LOVE LOOKS DIFFERENT at different times.💝 There have been times parenting where the Lord prompted me to just hug my daughter during a rebellious melt down and other times when He told me to make her work until she's ready to humbly receive the mercy and grace that I am wanting to give her. I admit that tougher side of love is SO HARD for me!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When a rich young ruler came to Jesus to ask what he needed to do to receive eternal life, the conversation ended with Jesus telling him he needed to SELL EVERYTHING (Mark 10:21). The Word says He loved this man. In another situation Jesus was asked, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" His answer was to "BELIEVE in the one who was sent." (John 6:28-29). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

My question for you today is, if you saw ONE of these responses on your social media feed WOULD YOU SCRUTINIZE JESUS? What if it was the one you have more trouble walking in? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

God deals with the heart and knows EXACTLY what each person needs to hear. Sometimes the response looks different, even contradictory, but LOVE NEVER VIOLATES TRUTH. He works with us right where we are and His goal is to get us to receive His mercy given freely through His Son on that cross. 🙌 Sometimes we need to come to the end of ourselves for that and sometimes we have already worked ourselves into a frenzy and just need a nice, warm Heaven hug.

Let's not scrutinize each other as we offer both sides of love AND let's be open to the Spirit (ask God!) and willing to share what's harder for us to give when prompted. We NEED to walk well in this balance and unity right now, Church.
